About the morality system in Mass Effect: Andromeda
Creative Director of the game Mass Effect: Andromeda Mac Walters shared information regarding the updated system of morality.
The original trilogy is a sci-Fi RPG Mass Effect used so-called system of "Paragon / Renegade", which was appreciated by all the moral decisions of the player and divide them into "good" and "bad". According to Walters, Andromeda save the players from the labels of good or bad actions. "I think at the moment the game has changed and those who are addicted to this form of entertainment, currently in need of various "shades of grey".
Walters believes that the old system is the basis of the nature of the shepherd, moreover, it is associated with the original trilogy, but when it comes to the future series: "I think now we need to get away from it. We are looking for other ways to implement more of these shades of grey: less tick marks on uniquely correct and incorrect solutions, and more sincere choice".
